Surrounded by his family, Victor Benny Jr. passed away peacefully on September 6, 2013 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife Karen of 14 years, brother Rudy, children Gary, David, Suzanne, and Ron, stepchildren David, Steven and Gretchen, 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Born in Peckville, PA on June 23, 1934, Vic graduated from San Juan High School in 1952 and married Yvonne Ballard in 1954. After graduating from Northrop Institute of Technology in 1960, Vic had a long rewarding career as an Aerospace Engineer where he worked on several of our country's space programs including key design elements for the space shuttle. Vic was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed, golf, dining, and traveling the world in his retirement. Vic will be remembered for his ever present smile, great sense of humor, and his love of family. He will be greatly missed by anyone who ever had the good fortune to know him. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Fair Oaks Cemetery, beginning at 2:45 p.m. followed by a "Celebration of His Life" at Orchard Creek Lodge Ballroom at 5 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive St, Fair Oaks CA, 95628 or Orchard Creek Lodge Ballroom, 965 Orchard Creek Ln, Lincoln, CA 95648. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations in Vic's memory to the American Heart Association or a charity of their choice
