Logan - Martha Faye Benson Balls passed away Monday, November 7, 2005. She was born April 22, 1922, the daughter of Ora Benson and Emma Isabell Burris. She was the fifth child of eight.

Faye married Thomas Earl Balls of Hyde Park, Utah on November 30, 1939 in Logan. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple, February 16, 1944.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving for many years in different positions. She, with her husband, served a mission at the Seattle Temple.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Ervil Eugene (Nellie), Idaho Falls; Everett Jay, Idaho Falls; Judy Lee Ramos, Idaho Falls; Thomas LeRoy (Linda), Aberdeen, Idaho; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by one brother, Gordon (Monta) Benson, Logan; two sisters, Ruth (William) Samson, Riverside, Utah; Lola Balls, Preston, Idaho; and Anna (Dean) Benson, Sandy, Utah.

Preceding her in death: her parents, her husband, one daughter, Eleanor, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005 at the Bridgerland Park 1st Ward Chapel, 825 North 200 West, Logan. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery in Aberdeen, Idaho at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be extended to the family online at Nelson Funeral Home.
