Leon "Bubby" P. Bentz, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2010 in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Leon was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Marilyn.
Leon is survived by his five children, Athena and her husband, Mike Trujillo of Clayton, NM, son, Gregory and his wife, Irene, daughter, Holli and her husband, Billy Robinson, son, Edward and his wife, Ava, all of Albuquerque, NM and daughter, Stacey and her husband, Brian of Gilbert, AZ. Leon was the grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of three. Leon is also survived by his sister, Jacqueline and her husband, Richard Bird of Marcus, IA and their nine children and extended family.
Leon retired after 25 years of service in the United States Air Force and numerous years at the VA Hospital.
A memorial mass is scheduled at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Albuquerque, NM at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Interment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery in Santa Fé, NM at 1:00 p.m.
