Dorothy Bergen, 95, of Lukeman Lane, Stockbridge, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at her home.
Dorothy was born in Lower Chichester Township, PA on December 13, 1914, daughter of Herbert and Mary Thompson Osborn. She graduated from local schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Dorothy dedicated her time to her family. She worked for the Ocean Township Board of Education in New Jersey. Following her husband's retirement from the Navy in 1969, the family moved to Stockbridge, where they made their home on Lukeman Lane.
Dorothy leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years, Capt. Franklin S. Bergen, on March 17, 2003. She was also predeceased by her children, Judith Ann Bergen, Carol Bergen and Christopher Bergen; two brothers, David and Lindsey Osborn, and her sister, Kathryn Roche.
The family invites everyone to join them for a graveside service on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stockbridge Cemetery, Stockbridge, MA, conducted by THE Rev. Charles Young, Chaplain for HospiceCare in the Berkshires.
