Anna Bergstedt Rites Held

Funeral services for Anna Bergstedt, 95, were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the United Church of Christ at Savage. Burial was in Riverview cemetery at Savage. Mrs. Bergstedt died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Sidney Mt. on April 11, 1975.
Anna Elizabeth(Landin)Bergstedt was born Jan. 20, 1880, in Skofde, Vestergodland in Sweden, the daughter of William and Clara Landin. She came to Fairmont, Minn. in 1886 with her parents where she attended schools and grew up. She came to Columbia Falls as a young woman and was married to Carl Bergstedt June 17, 1902. The couple homesteaded near Savage in 1909, and moved into Savage following their retirement in Dec 1942. Carl Bergstedt died June 20 1943.
Mrs. Bergstedt was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Savage. She was also a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lower Yellowstone Chapter No. 98.
Survivors include two sons, Barton of Lander, Wyo., and Landin of Savage; two daughters, Mrs. Con (Helen) Elnes of Havre, and Mrs. Robert (Ida) Seeve of Savage; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two brothers, Charles and Ernest; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Peterson and Mrs Hilma Anderson; and two younger sisters preceded her in death.
