Funeral services for Sidney Berkenpas, 54, Napa, Calif., resident who formerly lived in Plymouth county, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Milo Morris will officiate. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery.
Mr. Berkenpas died Saturday at Los Angeles, Calif., after a long illness.
Mr. Berkenpas was born Aug. 2, 1911, in Codington county, S. D. He lived in Plymouth county from 1923 to 1955 and was formerly an employee of Douglas Aircraft at Napa.
Survivors are the father, Henry, Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Zoerink, Le Mars, and Mrs. William Faber, Orange City; six brothers, Richard, Sioux Center, and Leonard, Gilbert, Donald, Harold, and Darrell, all of Le Mars.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1942 and an infant brother and sister.
