She was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Baltimore, and was the daughter of the late Nathan Berlin and the late Tillie Horwitz Berlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Altschull, on Sept. 6, 2000; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Parry; and two sisters, Elsie Lipsitz and Sylvia Bach.
