Age 91. Mrs. Arnold was a Proprietor of Bette's Rolls Royce Restaurant near Faneuil Hall in Boston. She had successful careers in three different business fields, assisting her late husband, Chappie Arnold, with "Chappie Arnold's Orchestra," and later operating the Arnold Bus Co. with him before she opened her restaurant. Later she helped her second husband run the Bob Charles Transportation Co. Mrs. Arnold enjoyed travel, ballet, the theatre and swimming. She also enjoyed living life to the fullest and was known for sleeping little, preferring to leave sleeping for her final resting place. Mrs. Arnold is remembered as being decades ahead of her time and as an inspiring mother, instilling her daughters with a desire to succeed. She is survived by her husband, Robert Charles MacMurdo; a daughter, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was the former wife of the late Chappie Arnold.
