On Tuesday morning of last week, at her home in Brownville, occurred the death of Mrs. Gertrude Barling widow of the late Charles Barling, al the age of 79 years. She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Berringer, and was born in Albany, coming to this village with her parents when a little girl. She had made her home in Brownville for the past fifteen years. Mrs. Barling is survived by one son, James R. Barling, of Brownville; one daughter, Mrs. Lewis C. Marks, of
Pittsfield, Mass.; also four sisters, Mrs. Frank Peters, of Areola, La.; Mrs. John MacFarland, of New Orleans; Mrs. Thomas Doak, of Canada, and Miss Mary Berringer, of Brownville
