Tragedy Occurs In Cellar Of Squirrel Hill Home
Pittsburgh~Jan. 6~(UPI)~Albert Berringer. 48, Squirrel Hill, shot himself to death last night while his 13 year old son, Albert Jr. and his brother-in-law, Edward K. Moody, stood nearby.
Berringer, an employee of the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing company, was in the basement of his home talking with the son and Moody. When the two turned their backs momentarily, Berringer grabbed a .22 caliber rifle and fired it into his mouth.
He suffered a nervous breakdown more than a year ago and only three weeks ago was found unconscious from monoxide gas but revived.
