Robert Berringer -

The death of Robert Berringer the only son of Mr. Charles Berringer of 2nd. Peninsula, took place on the 21st inst. He died at the age of 23 years, after an illness of only three weeks, which began as quincy sore throat. Everything that loving hands and skilled treatment could do was done, but all was in vain, as he quietly passed away last Friday morning. He was a favorite among all his young friends. In disposition he was quiet, in habits he was clean and manly, and altogether a most exemplary character. He will be greastly missed by his chums, but especially by the beloved parents and sisters to he meant so much as the only son and brother. He leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and thoughtful son, of a noble and loving brother, his
father and mother and two sisters, Mrs. Morris Smith, of Lunenburg, and Olive at home. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from his father's residence. He was laid to rest in a beautiful spot on the banks of Second Peninsula within sounding distance of the sea which he loved to sail. The sincere sympathy of a large circle of relatives and friends are extended to the bereaved family. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor
Rev. A.D. MacKinnon.

With thanks to Richard Noble.
