Son of John Berringer, mother unknown on DC, he married Martha Irish, was a musician, lived at 1278 Liberty St, Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital of myocardial degeneration, anemia and cancer, per death certificate 6117, whose informant was Charles E. Berringer of Reno. Buried Jan 9 1945.

Per Pennsylvania marriage certificate, on Jul 9 1891 at the bride's home in Franklin, Albert Earl Berringer of Franklin, laborer, 19, son of George and Lida Berringer, married Martha Tracy Irish of Franklin, 18, daughter of Roswell and Rhoda E. Irish; first marriage for both.

Albert Earl "Bert" Berringer, 72, of 1278 Liberty Street, died in Franklin Hospital, where he was admitted Nov. 14, at 1:30 am Saturday following an illness of four months. Born in Indiana, PA, Aug. 29, 1872, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Berringer.

He came to Franklin in his early life and lived here since. He was a fine mechanic and for m any years worked for William Moore at the Franklin Garage. His chief interest was in music, but he took an active part in many affairs of the community. He was a member of the Franklin Band for 52 years, playing the bass horn. He was the oldest member of the band in points of service and age. He joined the band Sept. 12, 1892. About his last appearance with the band was late last August, when he participated in the concert marking the 71st anniversary of the band. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in Gen. Charles Mill's Bible Class, and the orchestra. He was a member of Franklin Lodge No. 110, BPO Elks, and Venango Lodge No. 255, IOOF, and played in the orchestras of both. He served as secretary and treasurer of the Musicians Union here. A friendly person he enjoyed the respect of scores of friends in the community.

He married Martha Irish who died in 1934.

Surviving are a son, Charles E. Berringer of Reno; a daughter, Mrs. Emma Mong of Franklin; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday in Barron Chapel with Rev. J. Snyder Kane, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
