PHILIPSBURG - Mrs. Eleanor Bennett, 42, wife of David N. Bennett of 106 S. Ninth St., Philipsburg, died at 1:50 p. m. yesterday in the Philipsburg State General Hospital where she had been admitted Sunday. She had been in ill health for the past 16 months.
A daughter of William and Minnie (Charlton) Beveridge, she was born at Munson June 9, 1921. She was married to Mr. Bennett in 1943 at Bigler.
She was graduated from the Morris Township High School in 1939. For 12 years, she owned and operated Bennett's Children's Shop, retiring in 1958.
Mrs. Bennett was a member f the Trinity Methodist Church nd a member and past recorder of the Philipsburg WOTM Chapter No. 117.
She is survived by her husband; four children, Mrs. Albert (Marilyn Lee) Adams of Philipsburg and Carol Ann, David and Tamy at home; her mother, Mrs. Minnie Beveridge of Morrisdale R. D.; and two bothers and two sisters, Ernst W. of Philipsburg and Mrs. Westerland Buck, Mrs. James Hummel and Harry of Morrisale R. D.
Friends will be received at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral home from 7 to 9 p. m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow and from 12 noon to 2 p. m. Thursday at the Trinity Methodist Church when serviccs will be conducted by the Rev. Stratford C. Taylor. Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Philipsburg WOTM Chapter will conduct memorial services tomorrow at 7 p. m. in the funeral home.
