Mrs. Joan Nelson Beveridge, the well-loved wife of Robert Beveridge, whose death occurred so suddenly Monday morning, was born in Scotland January 27, 1838. She was united in marriage to Mr. Beveridge in April, 1864. About twenty years later they removed from Scotland to make their home in this country. Sister Beveridge was a good woman - who loved her Bible and who looked forward with sweet anticipation of the joys of the Heavenly Land where she should meet again the dear and cherished ones whom she had loved long since and lost awhile. Mrs. Beveridge was the mother of nine children, three of whom, with her husband, survive to mourn their loss. But early loss is Heavenly gain for those who love Christ. For "I heard a voice from Heaven saying, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
The funeral services were conducted Wed. afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock by Rev. C.E. Fowler, and her remains were interred in Riverside cemetery.
