Albert Raymond Bigbee died Sept. 18, 1992 at the Logan County Hospital of a heart attack. He was 89 years old.
He was born March 27, 1903 at Concordia, Kans. in Cloud County to Leroy and Mary Jane (Burris) Bigbee.
He grew up southwest of Concordia in the Sen. Frank Carlson neighborhood, attended a one-room schoolhouse and had only one teach all through his grade school years. Mr. Carlson was his Sunday School teacher.
In his early years he enjoyed working with his horses. His very special team was bay mares, Bird and Bell.
He came to Gove County is 1929 and farmed with his father.
He married Leona Eveyln Moss Feb. 2, 1932 at Gove.
He was a farmer and stockman southwest of Grinnell until 1976, when they moved to Oakley to make their home. They celebrated 60 years of love and marriage Feb. 2, 1992.
Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, and family gatherings. He was a loving husband, uncle and friend.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn of the home; sisters-in-law Ruth Sidles, Bertha Barllett, Oakley, Edna Donze, Dorothy Moss, Trenton, Nebr.; brother-in-law Charles Bartlett, Oakley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their friends.
His parents, four sisters, and three brothers preceded him in death.
