WaKeeney -- Alvin P. Billinger, 85, WaKeeney, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006. Mr. Billinger was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Victoria. He was a farmer and stockman, retiring in 1993.

He was preceded in death by three grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Marie, of the home; two sons, Larry of Tulsa, Okla., and Tim of Collyer; three daughters, Judy Bollig and Cathy Millard, both of WaKeeney, and Janie Dixon of Decatur, Texas; a brother, Edwin of WaKeeney; two sisters, Alice Denning of Wichita and Bernice Stithem of WaKeeney; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney. Burial will be in Christ the King Catholic Church Cemetery. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a rosary by the Knights of Columbus at Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N. 12th, WaKeeney 67672.

Memorials may be made to Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital Endowment Fund, American Heart Association or Masses. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
