wife of Sherman Billingsley, owner of the Stork Club an institution from the days of the speakeasy to the 1960's. An epitome of sophistication and elegance. A glittering world, where starlets stalked millionaires, and all those that had arrived as well as those that wanted to came to be seen. Their daughters Jacqueline and Shermane grew up in the extraordinary world of the Stork Club. Her son-in-law's plane disappeared over the Caribbean just two month's before the Kennedy assassination. Two years later the club fell victim to a ruinous battle over unionization, lingering charges of racism, and most of all, a changing culture. Then a year after the club closed she was widowed.
