Mary Frances Birdwell Baird, 75, of Springfield, died Saturday July 2, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday July 6th at 4:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Baird was born September 26, 1935 in Robertson County to the late Roscoe Lee and Julia Margaret Porter Birdwell. She was a homemaker and a member of North Springfield Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Vickie Baird Rippie and by her sister: Julia Birdwell. Mrs. Baird is survived by her husband of 55 years: Jimmy Baird of Springfield, sons and daughters-in-law: Terry and Teri Baird of Springfield, Michael and Jonie Baird of Cross Plains, brother: Robert Birdwell of Adams, sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Gary Alley of Springfield, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
