Eugene Austin Birdwell 66, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, formerly of Cupertino, CA, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 in a Temple, Texas hospital.
Cremation services are under the direction of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple.
Eugene was born June 3, 1942 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Patrick Alfrod Birdwell and Evelyn Lorene Robinson Birdwell. He married Kristine Lund in 1972. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2008.
Mr. Birdwell worked as a security guard for private companies.
He is preceded in death by his wife, his father (December 12, 1982), his mother-in-law Mary Lund and his father-in-law Ray Lund.
Survivors include his mother Evelyn Birdwell of Alamogordo, NM; three brothers, Larry E. Birdwell, Keith Pat Birdwell, and Dana Jay Birdwell; two brothers-in-law David Lund and Steve Lund of San Jose, CA, and a sister-in-law Carol of Tuscan, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
