Agnes ( Faulkner Robertson McEwan) Bishop, 84, died Saturday, September 3 at The Genesis ElderCare at The Woodlands in Plainfield. Born in Bayonne, NJ, Agnes grew up in Staten Island before moving to South Plainfield in 1955.
A devoted church member and Sunday school teacher for 50 plus years, Agnes loved working with children as a teachers aid at Pilgrim Covenant Church for many years before transferring to Muhlenberg Hospital day care center when she retired in 1997.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ellsworth Bishop and her 5 children; Cathy Lynn Arancio of Ocean View DE., Scot Bishop of South Plainfield, Deborah Simpson of Belle Mead, Robert Bishop of Branchburg, and James Bishop of South Plainfield. She will be greatly missed by her 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends will be joining together on Thursday, September 8, 2016 for a Memorial Gathering from 6-9pm in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:30 am
