Services will take place Monday for Frank Harper Bissell, 76, veteran architect, who died yesterday in his home on Comstock Hill.
They will be conducted at 10am in the Raymond Funeral home, 5 East Wall Street. George Garland, reader of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, will officiate, and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
Mr. Bissell was a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and attended Lafayette college, where he majored in engineering. Later, he transferred to architecture, which he practiced in New York city and Norwalk.
He resided here for 45 years. Among the buildings he designed were the City Hall, Central Fire station and the Washington housing project.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Hutt Bissell, and a son, William M. Bissell, both of Norwalk.
