Bradley "Brad" Bissell, 44, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., following an accident. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, by the Rev. Chris Staley. Burial: Monona City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona.

He is survived by his wife, Tori; daughters, Heather and Alicia; parents, John and Gale of Monona; two brothers, Jerry (Darlene) of Postville and Marty (Robin) of Monona; four sisters, Cindy (Danny) Hertrampf of Cassville, Wis., Wendy (Raymond) Gress of Monona, Kristy Meier of Mechanicsville and Mary Bissell of Monona; sister-in-law, Diane Bissell of Guttenberg; and 16 nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley John; a brother, John Jr; a nephew, Jeremy Bissell; and grandparents, Jim and Elsie Bissell and Eldon and Ella Kurth.

Brad was born July 24, 1956, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of John and Gale Bisell (sic/Bissell). He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. Brad graduated from MFL High School in 1974. He married Tori Schlitter on Nov. 8, 1980 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon. To this union two daughters were born, Heather and Alicia. Brad was self-employed as a carpenter and previously worked at Northern Engraving. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening; he was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted family man.
