Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Odor
Mrs. Gladys M. Odor, 61, died at 6 pm Sunday at the Hamilton County Hospital where she had been a patient the past week. She had been in ill health the past year.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. R. D. Kitterman officiating and with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
Gladys Marie Bissell, daughter of Guy F. and Rose Bissell, was born April 10, 1898 in Atlantic, Iowa. She was a small child when she moved with her parents to Webster City where she was reared and educated.
In 1917 she was united in marriage to John Beem, and to this union two children were born; Robert Beem of Blairsburg and Mrs. T. A. (Helen) Scarborough of Waterloo. She was united in marriage on June 1, 1922 to Ray Odor, and to this union two children were born: Richard Odor of Webster City and Lauradell Odor also of Webster City.
Besides the four children, she is survived by 13 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Pearlie Shafer of Des Moines; one brother, Floyd Bissell of Waterloo; and two half-sisters, Mrs. George Peppler and Mrs. Ione Theos, both of Waterloo.
Mrs. Odor was preceded in death by her husband, who died Sept. 1, 1954, two daughters, who died in infancy, and by her parents.
