Helen M. Arnold.
Another of Geneseo's older citizens has passed away. Mrs. Helen M. Arnold after a lingering illness from a complication of diseases, died last evening at her home on Main street, surrounded by her surviving children. She was a daughter of Dr. Daniel H. Bissell, who was one of Geneseo's leading citizens years ago and was born at Moscow in this county, Nov. 7tb, 1831. The late Mrs. Theodore F. Olmsted was her sister. She was educated at Temple Hill Academy; was married to the late Col. Henry L. Arnold, Oct. 20th, 1854 and for a time resided with her husband in the town of Conesus, removing to Geneseo shortly after the Civil War, where she has since resided. She had long been a member of the Episcopal church.
She leaves surviving her four children, Miss Alice O. Arnold, Miss Lucy Arnold and Allan M. Arnold of Geneseo and Henry L. Arnold of Chicago. Her husband has been dead for several years.
A loving mother and wife and a faithful friend, she will be greatly missed by many associates of long years of acquaintanceship. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Episcopal church, Rev. J. W. D. Cooper officiating.
