Marriage - A pretty wedding took place at the home of T.W. Scott (Thaddeus Winfield Scott), on Maple Avenue, Patchogue, on Monday afternoon, when his niece, Miss Lila Bissell, of Bayport, became the bride of Edwin F. Biggs, of Patchogue. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John W. Maynard, pastor of the Methodist Church, and the bride was given away by her uncle. The bride was attended by Miss Walters of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Sarah Albin, of Patchogue, and the groom by Mssrs. Sherman Wicks and John H. Conklin. Following the ceremony a bountiful wedding breakfast was served to the guests, numbering about fifty. The couple left on the afternoon train for a honeymoon trip to Washington, D.C., and the South, upon their return home making their home on Carman Avenue, Patchogue. -Times
Obituary - Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza J. Biggs were held at the home of her son, Wilbur C. Biggs, of Patchogue, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. Ernest Newmann officiating. Mrs. Biggs was 77 years old. Mrs. Biggs died Sunday, after a lingering illness. She was the widow of the late Edwin F. Biggs.
