Born in Manchester on May 15, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Mary Bissell.
Laura was formerly employed by the Town of Manchester Water & Sewer Department for many years retiring in 1985. Laura was a member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester.
She is survived by her children and their families, Judith A. Uccello and her husband Corrado (Avon Park, FL), granddaughter, Janet Duval and husband Kenny, their children Nicole and Kelsie; her daughter, Constance M. Santoro and her husband Anthony Prete (Manchester), grandchildren, Cheryl Caravan and her husband Paul, their son Stephen, Jeffrey and his wife Buffy, Alexander and his wife Michelle, their son Alexander, Susan Santoro and her friend Ron Berlin, her son Bruce M. Bentley and his wife Lillian (Palm Beach Gardens, FL); her daughter, Susan L. Schunk and her husband Paul (Clinton, NJ), grandchildren, James Butler and his wife Heather, their daughter Juliette, Sara Roy and her husband Derek, their daughter Joline, and Stephen Butler and his friend Wendi Desmoines. She is also survived by her sister, Marjory Powers of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Timothy Uccello.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, followed by burial in East Cemetery, Manchester.
