Surviving are son, Elroy Hawes, daughters, Emily Black Barbee of Memphis, TN and Alma Black Moore, brothers, Malcolm Hawes and Alvin Ray Hawes, sister, Catherine Rogers; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at New Salem Baptist Church, 955 S 4th St, , Memphis, Tennessee.
