Services for Virginia Blackwell Ballert, 88, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Centre Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ballert was born October 9, 1920, and died June 17, 2009, in Longview. She was a U.S. Army Nurse Corp. veteran and retired from Good Shepherd nursing service. Survivors include her son, Frank Blackwell; and daughters, Nancy L. Peet, Virginia Savoldi and Mary Nunamaker.
