Lucille Elizabeth "Lucy" Sandridge Blackwood, 94, died Saturday, December 20, 2008. She was born July 12, 1914 to Walter Marion and Mary Moore Sandridge in Germantown, TN. Ms. Blackwood was formerly of Memphis, TN and retired from Delta Airlines and Natie's Clothing Store. She resided in Randolph, MS with her daughter and was a member of Randolph Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and her life was a witness for Him. A loving encourager to everyone, her kindness and prayers touched many lives. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Burial will follow in National Cemetery in Memphis. Survivors include her 2 Daughters: Gail Fowler (Charles W.) of Randolph, MS and Beth Ousley (Charles) of Germantown, TN; 1 Son: Eddie Blackwood (Mary) of Olive Branch, MS; 1 Brother: James W. Sandridge (Dorothy) of Baton Rouge, LA; 8 Grandchildren: Mitch Blackwood (Wanda), Sheila Hodge (James), Travis Fowler (Laurie), Michelle Lott (Scott), Tammy Foster (Ben), Lisa Powers (Shawn) and Jessica Prophett (Aaron); 12 Great Grandchildren: Aaron and Meagan Blackwood, Amber Williams (Devon), Erica Stallins, Desirae, A.J., and Garrett Silver, Addison, Anna-Leigh, and Carson Fowler, Wesley and Callie Prophett; 1 Great- Great-Grandchild:Natalie Williams; 6 Step Grandchildren, 15 Step-Great-Grandchildren; and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Clarence E. "Red" Blackwood, Sr.; 1 Sister: Gladys Younger; 2 Brothers: Edwin Sandridge and Walter W.
