She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she was born on March 19, 1925. She was a very sweet and compassionate person who cared for her family and friends and who was a perfect example of unconditional love. She enjoyed cooking for every one and her family called her the “Cajun Queen” of crawfish bisque.
Visitation will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Friday, November 25 from 5pm until 9pm and again on Saturday, November 26 from 8am until 10am Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine at 10:30am celebrated by Rev. Al Davidson. Interment in Grace Memorial Park.
She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Mary Ann Aucoin Mabile and Alice Aucoin Vaughn and Cecil; son and two daughters in law Dennis L. Aucoin, Jr. and Carolyn Roucher Aucoin and Sandra Albarado Aucoin; eight grandchildren Tammy Aucoin Blanchard, Karen Aucoin Blanchard and spouse Jamie, Scott Mabile and spouse Mitzi Breckwoldt Mabile, Dawn Mabile Daigle and spouse Scott, Becky Smith and spouse Ash, Michael Vaughn and spouse Tanna Ebeling Vaughn, Matthew Aucoin and spouse Kayla Daigle Aucoin and Jacob Aucoin; seventeen great grandchildren who brought light to her life, Courtney, Kenley, Carly, Karsyn, Kamryn, Kathryn, Tyler, Ambrielle, Adelynn, Avery, Abram, Hannah, Luke, Madison, Mckenzie, Molly and Emma Kate; brother Murphy Blanchard and spouse Gloria “Sweet”; sisters in law Elma Gaudet and Florence Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her son Dennis, Jr., grandsons Matthew, Jacob, Michael, Scott, great grandsons Tyler and Luke.
