MARY BERSHAW DEAD; PIONEER OF GENESEE
Mrs. Mary Bershaw, 74, resident of the Genesee area for the last 52 years, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 1 yesterday afternoon of an intestinal disorder. She was taken ill one week ago. Mrs. Bershaw was born in Montreal, Canada, May 24, 1869.
Survivors are five sons, George Bershaw and Fred Bershaw, both of Huntington Beach, Calif; Eugene Bershaw, Lewiston; Lewis Bershaw, Eugene, Oregon; Ernest Bershaw, Newport, Washington; one brother and two sisters, Lawrence Blanchard, Mabton, Wash; Mrs. J. Greif, resident of Canada; Mrs. C. Gotier and Mrs. Maude Trotter, both of California; and 13 grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic church. The body is at the Vassar-Rawls funeral home.
