BLANK Attorney Lester E. Blank, age 80, of Bridgeport, died Monday October 22, 2007 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Attorney Blank was born in Bridgeport, a son of the late Walter and Rose (Rome) Blank, and was a World War II Army Veteran. Attorney Blank was avid sportsman and loved hunting, fishing and yachting. He was a member of the Bridgeport Bar Association, the Fairfield County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association since 1953, the Label Sheya Chowder, Marching and Yahrzeit Society, and he was a decent man. He is survived by his beloved and loving wife of many years, Dr. Victoria E. Blank and their three children, Jacqueline Bakhash and her husband Edmond of Fairfield, Dr. Susan Blank and her husband Dr. Barry Gloger of Forest Hills, NY and by Professor Robert Blank and his wife Professor Susan Coppersmith of Madison, WI. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer and David Bakhash of Connecticut, Deborah Blank of Wisconsin and Benjamin Gloger of New York. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Wendy Blank of San Francisco, Calif., Dr. Catherine Mermelstein of East Brunswick, N.J. and Attorney John B. Blank of Fairfield; his law partner. Attorney Blank was predeceased by his brother, Attorney Raymond E. Blank and his sister-in-law, Dr. Miriam B. Blank. When an old man dies, a library burns.
