Mrs. Mathew (Clara) Becker, 70, of Route 5, Faribault, died Sunday at Rice County District One Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault with the Rev. Francis A. Pouliot officiating. Interment will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at. Parker-Kohl Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday until the hour of services on Wednesday moming. The St. Lawrence Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Tuesday and the parish vigil prayers will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The daughter of Edward and Suzanna Schoen Blatz, she was born in Richfield on Aug. 11, 1909. She married Mathew L. Becker on Nov. 25,1930 at New Trier. They farmed over 45 years in Wells Township. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27,1976. She is survived by three sons Irvin of Faribault, Kenneth of Dundas, and Norman of Faribault; by two daughters, Mrs. Hilary (Imogene) Caron and Mrs. Dennis (Elaine) Glynn, both of Faribault; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert of St. Paul, LeRoy of Rockford, ILL., and Alvin of Stanchfield; and seven sisters, Mrs. Otto (Marie) Doffing of Newport, Mrs. Kermit (Isabell) Schwie of Richfield, Mrs. Robert (Lucilla) Holz of Dubuque, Iowa, Mrs. Raymond (Virginia) Morse of Bloomington, Mrs. Godfrey (Lorraine) Doffing of South St. Paul, Mrs. E. A. (Dorothy) Eckhart of Inver Grove, and Mrs. George (Anna Ella) Bretschnider of Hastings. She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
