Charles "Chuck" J. Blatz, 28, of 415 North Street, Kiel, recently a student at UW-Plattesville died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 28, 1997 in LaCrosse. He was born March 31, 1969 in Chilton, the son of Glenroy and Henrietta (Pask) Blatz. He attended Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School and was a 1987 graduate of Kiel High School. Chuck was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1988-1992. For the past two summers, he was employed at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course, Glenview, Illinois. Chuck enjoyed playing golf, fishing and pool. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel.
Survivors include his parents, Glenroy and Hennie; two sisters, Paula (Rick) Ninmer, New Holstein and Jenny Blatz, Kiel; one brother, Barry (Kay) Blatz, Newton; two nieces and two nephews. He is further survived by aunts, uncles and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral mass will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
