Betty Blixen was a daughter of Eugene Gardner and Florence Campbell Frampton. She married William C. Blixen, Sr. on Dec. 14, 1940, in Urbana. He passed away Jan. 27, 2006.

Survivors include her son, William C. Blixen, Jr. and his wife, Mary Jane; grandchildren, Jeanne Kirby, Julie (Damien) McMullen and W. Charles Blixen IV, five great-grandsons, Tyler Tester, Dean Kirby, Damien, Cameron and Quinton McMullen and her sister, Margaret Chadwick.
