Mary C. "Kate" Barrett, 70, formerly of Bussey Road, South Onondaga, died Tuesday at Community-General Hospital.

Born in South Onondaga, she worked many years for Community-General Hospital. She was a member of the Onondaga Senior Group of Onondaga Hill and worked in the home health care industry for the elderly.

Her husband, Wesley J., died in 1983.

Survivors: Two daughters, Mary Bramer of South Onondaga and Elaine Santoloce of Jamesville; two sons, John W. of Nedrow and Paul J. of South Onondaga; three sisters, Margaret Swingle of Canton, Pa., Anne Cook of Nedrow and Helen Cook of Navarino; two brothers, John N. Block of Liverpool and William R. Block of Florida; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.

Services: 9 a.m. Friday at Ryan Funeral Home, Marcellus. Burial, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Otisco. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 44 E. Main St.

Contributions: South Onondaga Volunteer Fire Department, Route 80, Onondaga 13120.
