KAYSVILLE - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ivy C. Blood, age 93, passed away quietly on Saturday, April 13, 2002.

Ivy was born August 11, 1908 in Riverdale, Utah to Harrison Barber and Ivy Ballantyne Child. She married Clifton Ernest Blood in the Salt Lake Temple on October 5, 1927. They were the parents of four daughters; Delores Mitchell, Rona Lee (Henry) Spackman, Sharron Perkins Weyburn and Linda (Donald) Cottrell. She has 16 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

She attended school in Riverdale and in Weber County. She worked in the school lunch program for 22 years and as a part-time worker for another 10 years. She loved to cook. She especially liked to bake bread, cinnamon rolls and doughnuts. Her specialty being cinnamon rolls.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kaysville 8th Ward. She had been a visiting teacher for over 65 years. In her early years she taught Religion Class. She also had a great love of temple work, being called on a special temple work mission and served in that capacity for four years; and then continued to do temple work until her age prevented further services.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharron Weyburn, Clinton; Linda B. (Donald) Cottrell, McGill, NV; her sister, Geneva Kapp, Springville; and her brother, Jerry (Lou Ann) Child, Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton E. Blood, her daughter, Delores Mitchell, Rona Lee Spackman, son-in-law, Henry Spackman, her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 200 E. Center Street.

Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the chapel.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
