Obituary - Cynthia Blood, 83, passed away October 22, 1992 in Salt Lake City.

Born October 14, 1909 in Logan, Utah to Dr. Wilkie Hooper and Luella Tabitha Stewart Blood.

She was the niece of Utah Governor Henry D. Blood.

Graduate of Rowland Hall School for Girls and University of Utah. Post-graduate Certificate from Pasadena Playhouse, Pasadena, California. Member of Chi Omega, Theta Alpha Phi and Apmin Fine Arts Society at U of U.

Accomplished dancer in early years, having studied ballet in New York City and with the late Fred A. Jackson in Salt Lake City. Also active in drama circles during high school and college years.

She served eight years as office assistant for father, the late pediatrician, Wilkie H. Blood, M.D. Employee of the Relief Society General Board for 14 years and later of the Genealogical Society of the LDS Church until retirement.

Active member of LDS Church, served as MIA ward and stake drama director and MIA activity counselor. At time of death she was a member of Salt Lake 20th Ward, serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher.

She is survived by a sister-in-law: Mrs. Julia E. Blood, Jackson, Miss. and a niece: Mrs. William R. (Julie-Mac) Armstrong, Jr., Brandon, Miss. and a great-niece and nephew: Julie and Will Armstrong. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Wilkie Blood, M.D.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Kaysville Cemetery.
