She was the wife of the late Joseph James (Jim) Barone who died in 2001. Mrs. Barone is survived by her children, Bruce (Nancy) Barone of Naples and James Patrick (Barbara) Barone of Ramsey, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Mildred Branham of Blythewood, SC; three grandchildren, Bruce Barone, Jr., Samantha (Brendan Jr.) Duffy, and Mary Meghan Barone; and one great granddaughter, Maille Anne Duffy, all of Naples.
Mrs.Barone was the daughter of William and Veola Blume of Blythewood, SC and was a graduate of Blythewood High School. She married Joseph Barone of Glasco, NY in November 1943 and lived with her family in Ridgewood Queens, NY until 1975. In 1975, they moved to Ramsey, NJ as part of the Western Union Corp. headquarters relocation and she continued to live there after her husband's death in 2001 until September 2009 whereupon she relocated to Naples, Florida.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on June 3, 2010 at St. William Catholic Church and interment was at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ on June 10, 2010.
