Grandfather Joseph Altheuser was born at Westphalia on Jan. 18, 1852 and married Agnes Blume of Loose Creek who was born Dec. 6, 1851. He was a carpenter and contractor. He died Feb. 14, 1936 and she died in January, 1894 (discrepancy in dod noted).
Great-grandmother Philomena Kemp Blume died in 1893 or 1894 at Loose Creek. While her daughter Agnes Blume Altheuser was caring for Philomena during an illness Agnes also became ill and died in Loose Creek. Because of the contagious diease it was not permissible to bury her in Westphalia so she was also buried at Loose Creek.
