Age 80; of Sheffield MA, passed away surrounded by his family.

He was the son of John Joseph and Helen Marie (Harrington) Blume. Jack attended Dedham, MA public schools. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and served until 1956. He was a prisoner of war and received numerous medals.

Upon his return to the states, he became an electrician and went on to hold a master electricians license.

Jack was a past member of M.E.C.C.A., Boy Scouts of America, Kiwanis and a Massachusetts Electrical instructor. He was a 50 year friend of Bill W's who was well known for his open door policy and lending a hand to anyone who needed it. In his life, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, photography, his beloved boxer dogs and setting up his home for the holidays. He loved the outdoors, especially camping with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jaye Carole Floyd they were married on May 10, 1958; his sister, Ellen and her husband Tom of Florida; his children, John and his wife Susan of Vermont, Douglas and his wife Honor of Sheffield, Maureen of California, Michael and his wife Rebecca of Sheffield; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Carole Jes Carson and his two brothers Paul and Tom.

Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield, MA.
