Dorothy Ann Adams went to Our Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was a resident of the Presbyterian Retirement Community in Florence, SC, where she moved in 2006 from her home in Hartsville, SC. Born in Gray Court, SC, she was a daughter of the late Allen Wright and Nette Cheek Bobo.

A graduate of Furman University in 1938 with a degree in music, Mrs. Adams taught piano and public school music in McColl, SC were she met her husband, Hal McColman Adams. Over a span of forty seven years, she played piano for churches, weddings and funerals. Her marriage took her to High Point, NC, Greensboro, NC and Southern Pines, NC. While in Hartsville, Mrs. Adams was a member of the Thursday Study Club, the 2nd oldest Ladies Club in SC and the Spring Beauty Garden Club. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartsville. Mrs. Adam's funeral service will be held in the Retirement Community Chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be held in Magnolia Cemetery.

Surviving are her son-in-law, Ronald Joe Turner, and grandson, Daniel McColman Turner.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hal M. Adams; daughter, Dianne Turner; son, Hal M. Adams, Jr.
