Marjorie Anderson, age 88, of Burnsville, MN formerly of Canby passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center in Burnsville, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 31 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Rev. Katherine Rood officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service Monday from 12 – 2 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Canby City Cemetery. Birk Funeral Home of Canby is in charge of the arrangements.

Marjorie Pearl Bobo was born May 31, 1921 in Hope, Arkansas to Walter and Eura (Maiers) Bobo. She married Bob Bresser and to that union 3 children were born. On August 15, 1969, Marjorie was united in marriage to Arnold Anderson in Sioux Falls, SD. Arnold passed away on September 3, 1997.

She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Canby. Her hobbies were bowling, traveling with Arnold, gardening, listening to music and attending plays and high school sports with friends. She enjoyed playing basketball during her school years. She was queen of the Kops/Tops Club and a member of the birthday club. Marjorie enjoyed writing letters and sending cards to people especially during the holidays and for their birthdays. She liked to go dancing and enjoyed attending wrestling matches. Marjorie loved having her hair and nails done. She enjoyed card games especially Canasta and Whist. She loved to attend the state fair. Most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her family and friends.

Marjorie is lovingly remembered by her three children, Roger (Jean) Bresser of St. Louis Park, Minnesota and their children Dawn (Scott) Stork & Scott Bresser (Julie Solbert); Sheila (Curt) Cady of Belle Plaine, Minnesota and their children Tracy Mathison (Chad Alleckson) & Mark (Carrie) Mathison; Richard (Linda) Bresser of Elko, Minnesota and their children Jodi (Chris) Bryntesen, Krissy Bresser (Dustin Dircks), & Jackie Bresser (Jason Morrison); six great-grandchildren Ethan Stork, Chelsey & Levi, Kirsten & C.J., and Jack Bryntesen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold; parents; two sisters, Opal and Autice and one brother, Troy.
