Aged Resident Passes Away After Four-Years Illness. Mrs E C Boeck aged 77 years seven months and 14 days. passed away at her home 137 River Street at four o'clock Thursday afternoon, following an illness of nearly four years. Mrs Boeck was born in Altvora, Germany, but had lived in Portage for 68 years. She is survived by one daughter and three sons: Carl Boeck, Muskegon, Mich; George, Emma, Fred Boeck at home. Her husband Edward Boeck died July 15, 1936. There are 2 grandchildren - Mrs. Viola Atkinson of Poynette and Mrs. Vernon Schmidt of Milwaukee and a number of other relatives. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church from where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon January 14th. Interment in Silver Lake Cemetery.
