Beverly Jean (Kemling) Boguslawski, age 78, of West Burlington, Iowa, previously of Gary and Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away June 10, 2014 at home as a result of complications from Parkinson's disease.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Darwin (Lee) Kemling and sister-in-law Nancy Kemling.

Beverly was blessed with three children. "Nana" will be truly missed by her grandchildren who she loved to spoil. She is survived by her sister. Beverly is also survived by her sister-in-law. She will also be mourned by many nieces and nephews.

Beverly graduated from Calumet High School in 1952. She was employed for many years at the Lake County Welfare Department and was one of the first Programmers employed by the department as it converted its process to computers. She also was employed as a programmer for Lake County Data Processing, and was instrumental in assisting the County with acquiring the skills in computerizing the Welfare payment tasks. She retired from Analytech Computer Consultants, after having been one of the first employees and had watched the company develop into a successful consulting firm. After retirement, she and her husband moved to West Burlington, Iowa where she was able to enjoy loving, and being loved by her grandchildren. Beverly and her husband traveled extensively, and her most pleasant vacations were those shared with her children and their spouses during family vacations. While she thoroughly enjoyed playing the card game Bridge, it was the friendships of her club members that were most important. She had an infectious laugh and was known for her ability to tell a joke with the wit that most comedians would have envied. She will be remembered with a smile.
