Arnold W. "Arnie" Bol, 68, of Rossville, was called home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in his home. Born May 27, 1944 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Leonard and Anna (Torrenga) Bol. Arnie was a 1962 graduate of Rossville High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Supervision from Purdue University, graduating in 1968. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army Reserve with the 209th Supply Company from 1968 to 1974. His marriage was to Janice Vandermay on June 18, 1966 in Lafayette and she survives. Arnie owned and operated Arnie Bol Heating and Cooling and also had been involved in farming. He was a member of the American Legion Post #268 in Chalmers and enjoyed the "Coffee Clubs". Arnie was a man who loved to be outdoors and an oak tree has already been planted in his memory. Arnie also enjoyed helping people and spending time with his friends and family and the family dog, Benson.

Surviving with his wife, Janice, are their two children, Darryl Bol and his wife Pam of West Point and Tonya Collado and her husband Nelson of Rossville, three grandchildren, Ty Orrell, Jennifer Bol, and Dylan Bol. Arnie is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Dailey and her husband Tom of Lafayette, Charlotte Paugh of West Lafayette, one brother, Richard "Dick" Bol and his wife Marilyn of Chalmers, his wife's mother, Olive Vandermay of Lafayette, and two brother-in-laws, Richard and Earl Vandermay, both of Lafayette, and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Melinda Bol who died at birth on October 11, 1973.
