Alma Gautreaux Bolden, 84, a native of Houma and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011.

Funeral services will be from 11 a.m. to noon today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6530 Hayne Blvd., with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave. in New Orleans.

She is survived by three children, Carl Wendell Bolden, Gwendolyn Bolden Ganey, and Christopher Thomas Bolden; three brothers, Rodney, Gino, and Johnny Howard Gautreaux; three sisters, Zenobia Brown, Viola Joseph, and special little sister, Barbara Journee; and grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 63 years, Claude Bolden.

She was a retired teacher of Orleans Parish Schools.
