Arthur W. Bolivar 1996 Halifax Herald

Arthur W. Bolivar, 76, Bridgewater, died August 20, 1996, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bakers Settlement, he was a son of the late Robert M. and Ella May (Frauzel) Bolivar. He was an adherent of Bridgewater Open Bible Church, past grand of IOOF Lodge 60 and an honourary member of Bridgewater Fire Department. He was a former employee of Irving Oil Ltd. and was a former police constable with Bridgewater Police Department, retiring in 1984. Surviving are his wife, the former Margery MacKay; daughters, Honor (Mrs. Leonard Paynter), Freetown, P.E.I.; Mary (Mrs. Gordon Westcott), Calgary; sons, Noel (Joey), Donald ,Calgary; sisters, Lettie Bolivar, Dayspring; Hilda Bolivar, Bridgewater; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Bobby; brothers,Silas, Robert. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday in Bridgewater Open Bible Church, Pastor Chesley MacKenzie officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Donations to any charity.
