Mrs. Ballweg was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ball.
She was born Jan. 8, 1841, at York, Pa. Most of her life was spent in that state. A few years ago, she moved to Abilene, Kan., and two years ago she came from that place to Springfield, where she had since made her home.
A week ago, Mrs. Ballweg suffered a stroke of apoplexy. For a time, the attending physician had hopes of her recovery, but Sunday she suffered a relapse, and her death was hourly expected until it came.
