SCRIBNER -- Services for Mrs. Ella Boll, 87, long-time resident of this area, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Congregational Church in Scribner. The Rev. Homer Marlatt will officiate.....Mrs. Boll was born Aug. 11, 1871, on a farm near McConnell, Ill., and when she was 11, came with her parents, two brothers and a sister to Scribner and lived on a farm several miles west of Scribner. after several years, they moved to Scribner.....She was baptized when a small child and later joined the Congregational Church here. On Dec. 18, 1890, she married Christian Boll at the Congregational Church and they lived on a farm northwest of Scribner until 1905. in 1905, they moved to a farm near Pierce and in 1929, the couple moved back to Scribner and lived on a farm southeast of Scribner. In 1943, they retired and moved to town.....She was a charter member of Royal Neighbors of America, Goodwill Camp 157, member of the Order of Eastern Star, Mystic Circle No. 126, honorary member of American War Mothers of Freemont.....Surviving is a son Edward O. of Scribner, daughter, Mrs. Earl Schreider of Scribner, foster son, August Kreymborg of Pierce; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.....Burial will be in Scribner Cemetery. Spear Funeral Home has charge.
